Violinist from Paul Whiteman's Orchestra of the 1920s plays a quirky, entertaining medley of variations on well known tunes including Silent night, Pop Goes the Weasel and switches to the Bicycle Pump for a rendition of Sousa's Stars and Stripes forever.
KS1/2 pupils will no doubt be entertained but may also notice how he raises up on his shoes when playing higher notes in the melody and may also be able to identify some of these tunes. Perhaps the use of a bicycle pump may be inspirational to pupils considering creating a junk orchestra.
