Installing Flash & Shockwave

You can install both Adobe Flash (v10) and Adobe Shockwave (v11) using our installer package. The Shockwave and Flash page on adobe.com can tell you what versions you currently have installed.

Download this file: Flash and Shockwave installer (6 MB .exe), once it's downloaded, ensure you close and quit and running web browsers and then run the installer. If you already have Flash v10 or Shockwave v11 installed, you may be prompted to Repair or Uninstall. In these cases, choose Repair.

After the installer has completed, you can check whether Flash and Shockwave installed correctly by visiting the browser test page. On that page, if you see four green ticks then everything is OK. Follow the link at the end of the page to view a sample resource and to download the additional Shockwave plugins and Soundfont that are required to view our SMILE resources.
