Skipping songs for healthy schools
Photo by RichardBH As part of the Healthy Schools' initiative, many schools are promoting skipping and the encouragement of playground singing.
We have recently added recordings of children's skipping songs from the 1960s and 1970s - you may recognise a few from your own childhood (if you want to admit it!) - perhaps your children are already singing one or two of their own variations!
Whether they are confident singers or quietly creative, this is one way you can subtly encourage children's independent singing and composing, whilst adding a musical dimension to physical activity.
